Adil Oralbekovich Zhalelov, known by his stage name Scriptonite, was born on June 3, 1990, in the village of Leninsky in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. Since childhood, he was interested in painting, basketball, judo, and school theater, but music became his main passion: Adil became interested in rap at age 11, and at 15, he began writing his own tracks. His musical development was influenced by Decl, Eminem, and Rammstein.

According to one popular theory, the stage name Scriptonite is connected to the word "kryptonite," a substance from Superman comics. A tattoo of the Superman symbol on the artist's chest only reinforces this theory. After finishing school, Adil took his grandfather's surname, Zhalelov.

Adil's father was a strict man and did not consider music a serious pursuit. At his insistence, his son enrolled in college to major in architectural design, but later dropped out and focused entirely on music.

In 2009, Scriptonite joined the Jillzay collective, and in 2013, he made a name for himself with a music video for the track "VBVVCTND." The video quickly attracted the attention of the music industry. The artist subsequently joined the Gazgolder label.

In 2015, the album "House with Normal Phenomena" was released, which became one of the year's top rap releases. Oxxxymiron praised the musician's debut, noting its originality and musical complexity.

In 2017, the album "Holiday on Street 36" and the "Ouroboros" duology were released. In 2018, Gruppa Skryptonite emerged, combining live sound with elements of jazz, reggae, and hip-hop. The album "2004" was released in 2019, and "Whistles and Papers" in 2021. In subsequent years, the artist released several new releases and continued experimenting with his sound.
