Description

The Astana Concert Hall, formerly known as the Congress Hall, is considered one of the most significant cultural venues in the capital of Kazakhstan. Since its opening in 1963, this building has become a central venue for state and public events, as well as concerts and exhibitions. In 1982, it was included in the list of historical and cultural monuments of national significance, granting it state protection. Originally designed by Latvian architects, the building was significantly modernized in 1998. Today, the concert hall can accommodate up to 1,600 people, offering comfort and excellent acoustics. Modern amenities include a spacious stage with lifting mechanisms, a spacious foyer with a refreshment area and cloakroom, and rehearsal spaces. The hall is managed by the State Academic Philharmonic Society under the Astana City Hall. Three orchestras, a chamber choir, a string quartet, and many other artistic groups perform here. It also hosts international touring artists and a variety of events, from carnivals to charity events. For information on upcoming events and schedules, visit our website. Tickets can be purchased at the hall's box office or online.
